First Tuesday Concerts
On the first Tuesday of the month, October through May, enjoy free chamber music. Concerts are performed in Uptown Charlotte at First Presbyterian Church, located on 200 West Trade Street.
Show times are at 1:00 pm or 5:30pm. The evening concert includes a wine and cheese reception in the Carillon Lobby.
These concerts are performed by leading local and regional professional musicians that Charlotte Chamber Music compensates.
(Note: The afternoon concert has changed from 12:10pm to 1:00pm. This change in time accommodates the musicians from the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra who often have rehearsals on Tuesdays until 12:30pm.)

First Tuesday Concert Season Sponsor

Our first concert is September 2, and features Beethoven’s Septet in E Flat Major. Concerts at at 12:10pm and 5:30pm with a wine and cheese reception following the latter.
The musicians will all be from the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and include: Dru De Van, clarinet; Frank Portone, french horn; Betsey Griglak, bassoon; Calin Lupanu, violin; Ellen Ferdon, viola; Eric Thompson III, bass and Alan Black, cello.
